Yeah see what ta dad comes up with mate, I used to do engineering years ago when I worked for GKN so haven't looked at it from a novice point, I've come up with some weird and wonderful ideas, and TBH I only see one working fully, which will last donkies years, but the linkage doesn't lend it self to be modified in such way for this to work, not without remaking part of it, which is a main part of it lol
If your gunna do that, just as well make a B&M

Anyway I got a few more ideas that I'm yet to bench test, I'll post up on here the final one I choose to go with anyway, that is if I ever get round to it lol, currently still on the brake upgrade, as it's proving a little hard to locate what discs were used with the kit when it was available

Mate that's a lot of money for a bit of milled alloy! That kit has been around a while and is basically just a space between the top and bottom housings!

I guess the puma linkage is fairly cheap and readily available?

It is readily available - but it is designed to work with a ib5 gearbox with internal return spring.
People have fitted the puma linkage to the Bc gearbox but then need to add a return spring under the car and attach it somewhere.

You won't get the full potential from the short shift unless you go over to a ib5 gearbox. Same fitment as a bc except the late ib5 gearbox I believe had a rear mounted starter motor which is a bonus if you need to move the starter away from a hot turbo exhaust. But involves re- wiring the looms around inner wing to rear of the engine.

Well the wilwoods are on and fitted, I done that just after ford fair last year, after I had some stainless brackets made.
I'll see if I have any pics, and get some uploaded

Ok, so a late update then dude lol, but an update on the wilwoods.
After mocking up, I done a drawing and got the brackets made up, they are made from stainless, as I didn't fancy them being made from alloy.

They were made to suit escort cosworth disc, and fit behind the wheels nice, but unfortunately now means I cannot fit the mondeo wheels like I wanted too.
Even if I used different disc, with more height, it still wouldn't allow enough clearance for the callipers, and they would foul the mondeo wheel spokes, any more height in the disc and it would be so close to the ball joint, it would t be worth it, and I would need a spacer, cr@p!!
Anyhow decided to stick with the current wheels so yeah, there it is.

So the brackets you had made mean you have to keep the mack wheels for the foreseeable future

Not really no.
The brackets can be reversed, and different disc used, which will allow more room for different wheels.
But using these calipers means I cannot use the mondeo wheels, the brackets have no effect on wheel choice, as are based on the brackets that come with the kit you used to be able to buy, the only difference is the fact they stainless, edge angles slightly different, and the mounting holes are threaded.
The over all size of the calipers, and the max offset you can have in a wheel is what limits things, but I am not restricted to these wheels forever mate I'm only restricted to them right now as I can't fit the ones I wanted to.
