fingers crossed mate.

started on the wheels today, bought the paint for them

these were the worst 2 wheels, one had a fair kurb in it and the other wheel well, you can see
the other 2 were sort of alright with slight scrapping here and there, the sort that is just in the paint but looks worse than it really is

i used chemical metal filler on them, all 4 wheels have been preped, filled, and the filler flatted, i have preped one wheel for primer and paint, the other 3 are being done in the morning, and i will also be painting them tomorrow.

anyway pics so far

i got another litre of wax too, thats 2 litres worth i have to put in the car now :lol:

thats it, nothing special today, only had a few hours today

ill have you know there made by MAK and cost me £700 when i bouth them :devil:

right some pics

painted

clear coated

got 1/2 litre of paint, used about 100-130ml :lol:

loads left, which will do the mondeo rims

only used 100ml of clear coat too

this touch up gun was about £10 or £12 off ebay ages ago, bloody worth every penny!

badges from centre caps were fcuked

so got these coming, £12 with post from ebay

oh almost forgot, done me trade mark and to show the fan of spray from the gun, dunno how i got my dates mixed up though :bonkers:

will be finishing the wheels tomorrow, as im painting the inside black, 1 cos its too much work to bother doing them silver, and 2, i hate the fact the front wheels go black inside and the rears dont and it just looks tat, so black it will be as just easier :lol:

wheels came up ok, not mint, but then again i didnt go for "mint" i went for a quick refurb so a few little marks are still visable through the paint, like little dinks i could of stoppered etc but hey, it is what it is and there not staying on the rs, but will look nice and freash for the show.

and clark, you can bang on about these wheels all day long, there different, and no one has them :wink:

unlike the mondo ones ill be fitting

mind you i do have my eye on a different set of rims

maybe something like these

still, we're see, ill get it on the road first

niracka, simple, do as i will, dont let her drive it, well i "might" let the wife drive it :bonkers:

chris, no mate, not far at all, ive already warned the wife i will pulling a couple of 24 hour non stop (fag breaks not inc :bonkers:

) stints on in the coming 2 weeks.

tbh, it will prob need a set up, but only when the engines run in, the spec is, 195 chip, beiges, uprated fuel pump and actuator, etc, and kent cvh35 cam, it was set up fueling wise etc before the engine rebuild, but i had a wearing std cam in at the time, but the fact that i wont be doing more than about 50mph for 1000 miles itwill be fine

the wheels are not as dark as the pic's make out, its a fairly light silver tbh mate, but the colour they come out in the pics is nice, shame its not that colour :lol:

, i would say its about the silver as a fresh satin bit of alloy.

cheers dude, im pleased with how they came out, would of been better if i done a full refurb and used stopper for scraches etc but as ive said, ive just tidyed them up for now till the others are done

yet another day out there, repainted the rear spolier, it only needed a bit touching in but i had to mix up more than a dribble of paint so though fcuk it do the whole thing again.

preped and hand painted the inside of all the wheels, not a job i would want to do again as it took fcuking ages!

been doing odds and sods to today which took up some time, and before i left i masked up the spliter on the front bumper flated it and painted it, it was about 5.30 when i done it, temp had dropped and i knew it would bloom, which it did and shows in the pic, but im not worried as i wanted to get a couple coats on to do most of the covering then ill do a couple more coats when its warm as the finish coat.
lucky i did as one part of it has reacted to something, dunno what though, but still, easy sorted.

thats got to be one of the worse things, fcuking reactions, it really does pi$$ me off, but, i havent let it bother me this time, whooooooooo saaaaaaaaaaaa whoooooooooooo saaaaaaaaaaaaa, if i lose my rag now work will stop again, and we dont want that :lol:

clark i aint got much/any hair :lol:

it was my sisters old one, came in handy when i first started doing primer etc, now i use it to blow paint dust/fumes away

tom, all being well ill have the fcuker back together in no time, the plan is to start putting the carpet and seats, dash etc back in monday :oooh:

ok ive not compounded yet but hey once the rook and round the windows is done (sunday i hope) i can pop the glass back in

that reminds me, i gotta get a windscreen rubber, dont think i have any in stock
