lol, dont mate, im on call this weekend and all week, im ill, i mean proper feel like crap, only time i can get booked in for mot is 11am friday, i still havent been back to finish my front bumper off or anything
just hope i feel better towards the end of the week, im gunna bung a standard bumper on the front from jons old RS for the MOT, then i guess i'll have to rush like fcuk saturday to get the black painted on my cossie bumper and get it back on the car

If it makes you feel any better i have had two cam cap studs pull from the head with another suspicious one so all three have to be drilled and helicoiled then to test on the road before i take the car on the 600+ round trip to Silverstone

it is fun ram, well, ish i got friday morning off now, so can get it down for MOT, handy really, theres a little garage basicly at the end of my road which im taking it too, can drive to it in under a min

i'll be out right from work to do that bumper friday evening ready to be collected and re-fitted saturday afternoon, the cars already washed and waxed as i done that ages ago and still havent driven her, just what ive said above to do so it should come off ok, lets just hope painting goes ok.

god damn it though, why have i left it so late

its not compelety standard, its been chopped about cos the car it came from had a front mount intercooler on it

RS passed MOT with flying colours, even had 2 trainees wetting there pants over it even with the odd ball bumper on the front

the cossie bumper will have the black done tonight after work and fitted tomorrow, its all masked up flatted ready and waiting, just gotta be mounted on the frame for painting and job done

this is how the RS looked after the MOT, yes the number plate is on the pi$$, but i just slapped it on quick
strangly i sort of like the standard bumper look now, well not 100% standard bumper, i can do something to give it a opening but smaller im sure, plans for the future im sure ....... maybe

when i say standard, i couldnt have completely standard i would need a opeing for my oil cooler, and im liking the grills where the lights used to be so who knows what may grace the fez in time to come

i did think about shocking everyone and turning up with standard front bumper and standard rims but time didnt allow, and tbh, i didnt really have the money to spend on tyres for the 3 spokes just for fordfair

Standard bumper and rims Jay I know the feeling, I've just had to change a steering rack boot and a tiny patch of welding for the MOT. Bloody Escort fuse box being close to the suspention turret! Re test first thing in the morning. Hope it passes!

fingers crossed for the escort mate, its a common place for them to go under the fuse box.
still, if thats all it failed on they might just check them areas and pass it rather than do a full re-test ( i know there ment to) so im sure it will be ok mate

she passed mot ok, spent the day giving it a once over and doing bits and bobs and cleaning it again in between the rain, even had a pop at the engine bay

the "satin" black seems to be a bit more shiny than i was expecting, this black was 2 pac and put on with spray gun rather from a rattle can like last time, not sure if i like it or not tbh but i aint doing nothing about it now

hey jay seen your car today looking good mate but didnt see you!! well i walked past as you were emtying a great big bag of rubbish out the car but we started at the other end of the show first to see what bargins were there, and after one tw@ tryed to tell me the GTE 2i/3i ecu was for a rst i desided to not buy anything!
