know you were james, but come summer time it might just happen
im not sure what you guys wanted pics off but i got a few of the garage/workshop it will be in,
that focking pit.
i dunno how long that old wood was over it but hey, the first time i put a leg down it the other year that did hurt, this time i was sort of expecting it
couple of the car as i left my parents to come home, not beast as it was dark and on the mobile, well there all done on mobile now
3 presses moved today, they gotta be 3/4 of a ton each, you cant see them in the first pic as such but there between the door to the workshop and the ladder, you see them missing in other pic
and i found this while looking in the shed, so i can fit my new air filter on now
im trying my best to get it on road graham.
lack of cash at the mo is gunna put a hold on it and the coldness for spraying.

Man, that looks a squeeze in there Your pit looks a bit shallow Ours is annoyingly about 7" too shallow, so you're still slightly hunched working under a car Still, far better than not having one at all! LOL at the wood Again

cheers guys.
yeah its about sholder hight and im about 5ft 10.
its not my pit and i wont be using it , although i ahve to say, the pit is bone dry and it was put in when place was built, dunno when it was but mu unles had it 40 years plus, prob back on the day with the cars will cart wheels so a shollow pit was needed to reach the focking cars
its is gunna be tight in there, i took the pics from the double doors, and with the car hard up (about 2-3 inchs away) from the bench on the left it will give, on the passanger side (as im reversing in) just over 3 foot at the front and about 2-2.5ft at the back due to that old carpet but it gotta stay there so it will.
the front of the car will have a bout 1-1.5 ft from the doors maybe a little more, and gotta leave that so my uncle can get in as he dont walk so well now.
i should have about 4 foot at the back, but cant got back anymore due to them bit storage containers at the back of the garage
still, it will be in out of the rain etc so i can do what i need to in there, i might even spray the door and boot shuts why im in there.
you can see now why the other work i done so far didnt happen in there, although thinking about it now, i didnt have much more if any more room where i did do it

right guys, a update.
the car has been moved to my uncles garage
wasnt without fault though, because of the size of his property and the lay out etc, i had about 30+ meters of nice wet soggy mud to get over before i got to the garage, and i needed to turn it round to reverse it down into garage, but im not gunna go into much detail on that as it was my dad that got bogged down in his van rather than me in the rs
anyhow, due to no mot, etc, the car was towed down, ok i know you need insurance etc but coppers are more likely to ignore a car being towed with no front lights or bumper and a bit of the passanger wing missing than if i was driving it, although i did drive as well up the hills to aid the poor van
anyhow, its in the garage now, front arch liners were caked in mud, but the underside is fine as i had a quick look.
so glad i put my leg down the pit now as the passanger rear wheel is now sat on the wood of the pit and theres a 4-4.5 foot drop under that wood and if i hadnt of deck out through it it might of been the ass of the car
but dont worry, the wood is strong and safe as houses, the bit wheel is sat on is a cut down scaffold board and there strong as fock
anyhow, i got a couple of pics but there not much cop as it was last min thing before shutting up shop and going for a cup of tea and a chat with the uncle.
might be out to it tomorrow to start taking dash out etc but depends if i can be assed.
pics were manily got to stop mr heeman bitching

its not gayrs, it SIR to you mrs sheman
yeah it was a pis$ser to get it caked like that, but the arch liners have to come off again anyway so the body kit can be fitted so im not bothered, if the under side had been caked i would of been pis$ed but itsall good
taking dash out as i need to replace the sounds deading behind it as i ripped aload of it out when i had water coming in round the windscreen, i took screen out to fit the sun strip and it didnt seal right when it went back in and having rubber mats in the car at the time i didnt notic it was getting soaked.
so cut the carpet out and ripped all the wet stuff out.
yeah the bonnet is a little on the pink side, but its been sat in a green house for best part of 12 months so cant say im shocked
nice key mark on there aint it

Ah yes, I forgot about the interior water leakage. My bonnet was keyed at Trax...just one more mark on the battle-scarred body!

guess i better do a update
update so far, dash is out, windscreen is out, this didnt wanna play ball so i cut the rubber, all the windscreens ive taken out and this one/time its a night mare, ok i was cold and pi$$ed off at the time but i thought i had a spare when in fact i dont oh well, it let water under the screen anyways so rubber 0, jay 1
the passanger side skirt was still on also due to not being able to get to it where it was but thats now off.
so far apart from the above, the rear back panle has been rubbed down and primmed, so has the passanger side seal, and although there was some surface rust where the jacking points are, it was fine, and even the surface rust was much and a quick buzz over with the grinder saw it away so well happy there.
and the pit came in handy while doing that, up with the boards and down i went, so ill be doing the same when i turn the car.
oh while down there the fuel tank got some mud on it when i put it up there so hope that comes off ok.
talking of mud, some will remember the mud flicked up while getting the car where it is now, well if you cant be focked to clean it off, cut the wing off like i did
the new wing is only laid in place in the pic, i wanna stone chip the seal and back panel and do some of the inside of the wing and inner wing before fitting fully.
not many pics, just as i sort of remembered to take them really.
oh and i got some green strips arrive in the post (and yes theres a spare)
oh and if anyone has got some of that sealent stuff they use on the edge of the wing where it meets the front panel, let me know

You're doing well to stick at this dude, impressed with the motivation when you're in such a small space and it's moving so slowly...hopefully you can get more done where it is now! Good to hear there's no major rust going on down there, when can we expect pics of you spraying it on the green outside?

wont be painting it till it warms up mate
i was glad the seals were ok, ok i had surface rust along the bottom of the lip too, but dont everyone .
i jumped down in the pit with saftery glasses on, ear plug, and a flymask expecting to find more than i did, so although i was done up in over kill mode i was still pleased with what was there.
the drivers side, although not ground up, (and i should of done it while i done the under side ) is ok, surface rust again, although the areas are a little bigger that side but it will be ok with a buzz over from grinder.
although small in there, theres plenty of room round back of car and about 3 foot at the side, so enough room to sit and have a smoke or dance about to the radio while having another smoke
worst bit about it is there isnt much room where i have the kettle and the tea bags etc
