Are you getting uprated shocks aswell..? As ive found g-max to not be the best springs in the world, and that was only a 35mm drop..!

yea, fair enough if you can.. i think marangoni zeta's are a really good tyre in comparison to yoko's, which seems to wear out quickly.!

with bad springs its like drivign a bouncy castle down the road and bumps or speed bumps make the whole car judder good srpings are more stiff but still drives good also uprated gearbox mounts a deffinate upgrade for any hard driving ford sell diesel gearbox mounts thatr do the jobs sooo much better than standrad

im getting the impression you dont really know why gmax are poo and eibach are l337!!111 As i dont see paint vs powder coating as having much of an impact upon the handling of the car, material would effect obviously but by saying cheap metal and expensive metal, doesnt give one much of an insight into any perceived handling benefits. I was after something a little more expansive tbh.

As for hijacking your thread, if youd just been honest in your first reply to the question and said you didnt know, instead of spouting a load of rubbish then it wouldnt have happened :)

but to answer your own question, use the most expensive ones you can find as they are made of the most expensive stuff so must be the best

Dampeners (shocks) are what stop your springs going "Bouncy Bouncy". Your shocks were probably f**cked.

I would go for Eibachs at least.. or spend abit more on Billies.

Eibachs are very good - they give a wedge stance which I learn is the ideal stance from a performance perspective.

THey are also nicely wound - For general driving quite firm but bearable - for spirited they prevent excessive role quite nicely. A progressive spring that is actually progressive!

Get a zs beam also and some strut braces - throw a few polybushes in for good measure and you'll have a fine handling car (if a bit tail jittery- but maybe as I have little weight in the back!)

With reference to dampers - I am a little disappointed with Ford - per my suspension overhaul I replaced my dampers with new ford ones - coupled with the eibachs and the above setup the car does have a slight pendulam effect when centralising, changing direction quickly hmmm.....
