FIESTA SI 1.6 PERFORMANCE CAMS

Postby Fez Si Boy on Fri Sep 05, 2003 1:09 pm

Has anyone fitted performance cams to a fiesta Si 1.6 16v, i.e Kent cams or Piper cams? if so what was the brake horse power increase?

no offence or anything phil but the 2 litre can be a mighty expensive task!!!
Fair enough the engines are cheap and readily available but i for one need my car on the road so i can get to work and back and if you include insurance in the equation it mounts up to a good ass fudgekin!!!
then you gotta hope you can do the work yourself!
BTW i AM (after that rant!) looking into a 2litre but not sure bout insurance!!!!
what do you pay and at what age+no claims?!?
cHEEKY ME!
cheers

So would an Exhaust and cams make the Si quicker? Would that increase bhp from 90 to 105 bhp like the xr2i

swapped from CIS to adrian flux when renewal came round...

CIS wanted 1400 with the 1.6 after the new extra years no claims (takin it to 3)

adrian flux wanted 1100 with the 2.0 in, with 3 years no claims...

can u guess which i did?

a decent place shopuld be able to do the swap in a day, specially with ramps etc... and air tools....
