Ok update,
Just droped the car off to get a few bits of welding done befor the new m.o.t
not anything big just a few small bit here and there that i had seen when i was working on the floor.
I havnt driven it for about four months and first time with the turbo engine in it as i only just got it insured at the weekend with adrian flux they were very helpfull and when you tell them its got an rs turbo engine in it they dont just put the phone down on you
Only went about half a mile up the road but every thing seemed to go ok look it nice slow just to be sure just dosent feel like the same car
Really looking forwould to putting the chip etc on it getting it setup and getting back on the road with it
Russell.

Its running ok havnt fitted the chip etc yet because i want to get it setup soon as i
do and dont think any where is open being xmas/new year time.
Some times can be a bit lumpy on idle think it just need fine tuning but revs up fine and holds about half a bar boost with out any problems.
Iv been driving it really slow tho beacuse i keep thinking im going to blow it up every time i put my foot down
Had to put the bonnet up at the back because it was getting to hot when sitting in traffic and didnt want to put an rs bonnet on it as i want to try keep it standard looking
Iv been driving it every day to work just trying to get used to it seems a big step up from having a 1400cc so much more torque dont know what its going to be like with the chip on
As for a big intercooler dont really know?
Had to cut a fair bit out to fit the pace one, the si bumpers seem to come back more than the rs ones think you would have to do a lot of work to fit some think like a grs cooler and would end up looking a bit poo.

that caused when sitting in traffic...
in the winter you dont need to worry as its normal but summers a biatch
when you sitting in traffic it killed my stater motor..
im just wating till winters over then its all about lovured bonnet but nice and subtle not ott

Um not really sure iv never had an rs engine car before so dont really know what temp thay run at?
Mine will sit at about 90*c when driving dosnt take long before the fan comes on in traffic tho, is this to hot???
The si bumpers dont seem to flow air as well as the rs ones.
Putting the bonnet up seems to help it a bit so left it like it.
Also have this problem
