Re: fiesta st170 turbo
i have heard its more friendly on the road than the gotech and even the more expensive omex etc.. definatly want to see you get good results from it tho. they even come with a built in 21psi map sensor dont they?? how hard are they to map yourself?
ill be getting one in the new year if i can get a good price for my frst one!

yes it comes with a built in 21psi map sensor but so does the gotech , but the ms2 is way easier to map IF you can map that is!! and its a lot more refined than the gotech just my opinion tho .
hope to get into the very low 12s if not a high 11 next year and all on a home build and mapped car on a small budget

crazycage :So_SiMpLe_ :Great car mate!
How many hp you got now?
What's the 0-60 time?
i won the fwd class at ford fair this year with a 5.03 @1.2bar boost and a 5.24 @0.9bar boost with about 300hp and only had them two runs it was far to busy
engine is now doing about 350hp but maxed out my injectors ,ive got some bigger ones and a new management system so will be on the dyno about march next year hoping for 370+hp
But how does the car have good grip?
Doesn't it start wheel spinnig like will never ever stop?
What about cornering? Is it good? aceleretion while cornering?

You would be surprised what a decent LSD does for traction. Even with standard lower arms and normal sports road tyres I could pull away from Rawli's 150bhp FRST with ease in my car when it was only 170bhp, because he was spinning away and getting nowhere - on 17s! Moving on to rose jointed lower arms and Toyo R888s, I could fully plant it in second gear with no wheelspin on a good surface. That was with 200bhp, 245lbft and a stripped interior. It flew I have a mate with a 205 Mi16 that spins as soon as you try to accelerate in the lower gears, and had a customer with a 320bhp Civic Jordan 1.6 Turbo. He had the same issue. Both these cars are wasted because they have good power:weight ratios, but an open diff, so all that power is wasted. The ability of an LSD-equipped car to accelerate through, and out of corners is a world apart from an open diff-equipped car. Rawli thought I'd converted mine to 4WD the first time he tried to follow me through a big open roundabout Squat and go!

i run on toyo r888s all year round, i also have a good diff and suspension but thats it nothing fancy
it will spin up in 1st and 2nd but still pulls you forward as its spinning, my 5.03 run wheel spun through the first two gears to hit 60mph my 5.24 i tried tuning the boost down so it didn't spin up in 2nd gear but the time was slower.my car has never spun up in 3rd gear ever

Re: fiesta st170 turbo
well i got out there for a bit this weekend and fitted the top mounts there a direct fit you just have to drill two 8.5mm holes for the bolts ,ive just used some s**t ones for now till i paint the bay then ill fit some nice cap head ones
also welded in some new mounts for the engine and box there was just a tad to much movement when hard launching at the pod so fited the focus engine mount on the inner wing and put a mtx rear box mount on the front of the box aswell
so just need to find some time to clear the loom ect out the bay ready for the seam sealer and paint
