How did it go at pod mate? When I got there wich was quite late the track was still shut so I went and got a cuppa and had a scout round but never found you mate so just went home as I thought it was pretty shot as they didn't seem to be getting people through very quick so I was only there about half an hour to an hour lol

Re: fiesta st170 turbo
update time ... still using the car every day as its my only car done my first track day yesterday @ donington park ,loved it . was a wet track and bad fog ,went out for 3 sighting laps and was s**t myself no grip and the brakes were crap and i couldnt see the coners for FOG
went out for some flying laps did about 15, after about 5 laps i was finding my way round the track and getting faster and faster the brakes were fudgekin mint and after about 8 laps i had so much grip under braking and part throttle in the corners i was driving round the subaru's and evo's ect but struggled to put the power down coming out of the slow coner onto the pit straight
i was running race fluid and DS 3000 pads really really rate them on track
tyres we had the 888s with us but ran on the t1rs didnt get a chance to swap them over.
all in all me and rick (my mapper) were over the moon with the car and how it handled on track
but my day was ended with the head gasket letting go so onto the back of a AA truck for my drive home .
going outside to lift the head off now and get it back on the road for work on the 4th of jan

haha fair play to you mate i had to do gearbox and clutch on the g/fs car and spread it out over a few days as just got bored of doing it.
so how come you went on the mount idea you did rather than say what luca did and just weld the mount of a focus in place? take it yours is a much more solid design

i did do the same way as luca but changed as the standard mounts are s**t and the uprated ones luca runs are very expensive.

thanks ,its easy to live with it has all its trim and a stereo ect and i run soft springs on the coilovers when on the road too.
i used it ever day as my only car from central day last year to the donington track day on the 29th dec last year but with the head gasket letting go and the block needing a skim i was forced into buying a mk4 1.8 diesel fiesta as a cheap car just to get me to work and back till i sort out the fez.
