been doing a lot of work for a motorsport team over the last few months and i got a call last week to say the engine was built up and on the dyno if i wanted to pop over :D

they maxed out the fuel pupm in the dyno cell but before it did it made 648hp and 610ftlbs @ 5.5k and only .6bar boost :o this engine rev's to 9k.

they built one with a lesser spec than this one for a drag car and it did over 1400hp @2.2bar . this one is for a race car and will be mapped flat out but only run @ 800-850hp as it runs in 1hr long races

Awesome power they make, i reckon those exhaust manifolds are restricting it though  .

After a bit of help :)
Got my MK3 Mondeo master cylinder / servo fitted but the resevoir sits at quite an angle, now i could slice a " V " out of each bracket and re weld it to drop it back down so the resevoir sits straight but then i think the rod would be at too much of an angle.
Any ideas as to how to over come that problem, i did think about stepping the rod down maybe but didnt really like the idea of that,
This pic shows how much i would need to adjust the brackets by

Image

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried Mk3.5 brackets? The KA ones are another option to look at.

does it matter if its not straight? cant realy see the resevoir in the pic . you could fit a 2.0l picasso resevoir to it, it has a realy small one on the master cylinder the a pipe to a larger one that you use to top it up

It doesn't " matter " as in it will still function fine but there is no way i would be able to sleep at night if it was on there and not level
I think i'll look into a bit more and see what i can do!!

had all sorts of problems with my short motor :x long story short, the machine shop couldnt re size two of my wrc rods so i bought a new set of blacktop rods they built it back up only to find the pistons 3mm out the top of the block. turns out my wrc rods are not the same length as blacktop rods :x managed to now get my hands on two new wrc rods so the engine build is back on.

bought a spare set of pro race 1.2's to put some slicks on too.

and aso bought a new turbo :) some what bigger than my old one lol so i now need to build a new manifold for it when i get the engine back.

Sounds good Gary.
Bummer about the rods but at least you got it sorted in the end!

Like i said, i would have loved the turbo and manifold but really wanted my boost pipes running under the engine so thats out of the window.
If i can get back the £250 i paid for my Area 6 exhaust manifold, you'll be making me one and a damper :D

Driveshafts will be heading to you as soon as i get my fiesta ones off the car!
