Fiesta Temp Gauge

Postby XR2i-Fiesta- on Sat Nov 04, 2006 2:37 pm

When I first start up my car and let it warm up the temp gauge rises above half way and then comes back down to normal temp with out the fan coming on, after that the gauges work fine and temps are normal! is this normal?

Mine doesn't do that.

I start it up, and it'll slowly increase to about half way max when driving, and then when sitting it'll get to about half way past the 'O', at which point the fan will cut in, and it'll slow drop a bit. This is on a 1.8 Zetec by the way.

Afraid I don't know... Hopefully someone else will be able to explain why! Does seem odd to me, my dad's CVH Escort doesn't do that.
