if i had the calipers, discs and front hub assembly i could knock one up for about 30 quid

To do it your self make it out of plywood of mdf first, then transfer it to a high grade steel or super dural

done some messuring today on a evo 8, they use the same 330mm x 28mm disc and the same brembo caliper.
know you have a lip on a used disc well from lip to lip was 25mm so i think you will get away with using the 300mm x 24mm ST170 disc :D

ah, it look the same + it used the same size disc! even still thats better news if you could get away with using 300mm disc on the bigger evo caliper then surly it will be ok on the smaller focus caliper!

Its not he diameter that causes problems, its the height, centre bore and width that do.
You cant really use the ST discs on the brembo FRS caliper as they are too thin, when it gets to near end pad life, your braking will virtually dissapear, and with something as important as braking, you cannot take chances :aviator:

anyone every used the MG ZF Trophy calipers they are made by AP RACING and they use a 304mm x 24mm disc..... they would be ideal for using the Focus ST170 discs!

you can use any caliper mate, it all depends on the discs sizes, if the trophy use the same size discs as the ST, then use the ST discs, and the brackets will position the caliper where it needs to be, but remeber, now you need to push alot more fluid, so your master cylinder WILL need upgrading :)
