Fiesta Turbo Lower Arms

Postby Smo on Wed Mar 12, 2008 7:29 pm

Good evening, people :D

In the very near future, I shall be completely polybushing the car, and therefore that would include the lower arms/wisbones/whatever you like to call them...

So before I order (obviously with bush diameters varying between arms), I was wondering what peoples' opinions are on the extra track and, I believe, the decreased caster (going by the angled-back ball joints on them) provided by the Turbo items? Is it worth changing them? Or should I just stick with the standard arms I'm currently using? Is tyre wear affected much?

Also, out of interest, when adjustable lower arms are used, how are the settings determined and are they remotely close to either standard arms or Turbo arms? If that makes sense

Thank you muchly :)

Something I noticed with putting a standard steering rack on the FRST was the very few winds available on the track rod end. They wont unscrew but it looks so flimsy due to the extra track, a big pot hole might bend your rack... Regarding tyre wear, my p6000's seem to be wearing fine, although i did notice when i replaced them the inside wall was worn a fair bit more than I would have expected.

Turning in on the FRST is by far the best of any fiesta, a combination of a quick rack, the camber assocaited with the extra track and the neg caster works well.
