another quick update, not a very big one as i will tell you why in a moment.....
I have finally recieved all of the rest of the aeroquip style fittings needed to do the whole of the oil system inc breathers and turbo oil return and also all of the fuel lines fron the bulkhed forward.
this little lot is whats going to be used for the engine bay.....
i need to sort out the fittings for the turbo oil feed and also alot more brake hose fittings.
Then once i have all of the fittings i can set about measuring all of the lengths of hose i need to buy and get everythnig fitted up....
But first the car will have to come home, yes thats right the car isnt in my posession at present as it is having the mounts welded and also a bit of a trick inlet idea when it can be fitted in the workshop, so hopefully it should be done soon so that the next bits can be sorted. im not saying anything about the inlet to anyone at the moment as if it works it will be quite special!

yeah thats the prob the car aint here to fit them! lol but i dont mind it not being here as wehn it returns will be much better!
Muz - yeah have cost a fair bit of $ but its going to be worth it when the engine bays fited up and looks as std as possible (given the manifold etc) at first glance but with a few touches to make things stand out and make you look harder.

well had the car back about 2/3 weeks now but been busy sorting other cars and also not got the car at the unit where all my tool are now stored has been a little bit of an issue meaning ive not spent any time on it as such, however the engine and box are in....
the maifolds going to cause me a little issue with the rad but that will be sorted by moving fans and or a little cutting of bits as slam pannel has got to go and be made removable anyway!

well little bit of an update, managed to spend a couple of hrs on it today thinking of how i would fit in the rad and tubular manifold as the manifold passes under the slam pannel by quite a considerable amount, something which Jamsport was concerned by and the fact they thought i would have trouble fittng the rad in there with it, however where there is an angle grinder there is a way.
so first job was to cu what remained of the bonnet catch off as m going to be using lockable bonnet catches anyways so that is excess weight that isnt needed and plus it got in the way of where the rad would need to be moved to.
next job was to cut along the inside of the slam pannel about 3/4 along from the passenger side t make room for the manifold to slide in from the gearbox side along and then back onto the studs, wanted to make this as easy to do as possible should anything need to be done in the future by just undoing the studs from the head rather than whole front end off...
so test fit of the manifold and rad without needing to remove bumper
Picture is quite decieving, it doesnt look like there is much room but i can get my fingers between rad and manifold!
Then next job was to test fit current radtech intercooler i had modified to give room for twin fans infront of rad when i was running the t3 on the cvh and to sit as low in the cosworth bumper. i do have a pro alloy one but i dont think im going to use this as the rad tech one looks better fit from the front and fits around everything better.
Starting to look more like a car again already! Excuse the rag holding the rad away from the intercooler roughly where the rad needs to sit.
then next job was test fit of turbo, inlet and downpipe.... It all fits!
Thats a 3" downpipe, need the rest of the system making to maintain that throughout if i retain that.
Only problem i have come across so far is the oil return from the turbo sits against the gearbox mount, the turbo will have to be rotated in the housing slightly to sure this.
So atleast some work has been done on it now, just need to start doing all of the oil lines and remote filter etc then the engine etc can come out so the bay can have a quick coat of paint!
EDIT.....
Right went out again after dinner and the car has now started to be as it always has and causing me hassle!
went to fit the servo so i could measure lines to make and the servo hits the engine mount and the turbo is in the way of the master cylinder, i thought it would be tight be still do able and have a focus servo and master cylinder and spare brackets to shorten in the unit from a couple of cars i have broken for bits for it but thats still going to be too long by the looks of things!

only way i can see this fitting is by adding an angle into the servo mounting brackets when i shorten them for the focus servo with the shorter rod, hopefully that will then angle it high enough to clear everything and with a heat barrier be ok from the heat of the turbo and not boil the fluid every time the car is used.

have sorted the servo, thought that i was going to have to shorten brackets to fit the focus servo i have instead of the escort one and it would appear from first trial fit that a focus servo and zetec s brackets are the correct length.
The only problem is the bolt spacing on the zetec s bulkhead is very different to a mk3 item so new holes will have to be drilled to fit it to the bulkhead but fits alot better and is also BIGGER than the escort item so should give even better brakes
here are a few test fit pictures, unfortunatly the 3" down pipe and exhaust are now definatly not going to happen so will need to get a 2.5" down pipe made as it touches the servo and is just too big!!!
as you can see from picture below the servo isnt sat against bulkhead tidy so will go back again by a fraction.
