how much power could u get out of a xr2 engine. what parts would be needed and how much would it cost

Bit general and dunno on prices but i think the most your looking at is about 160bhp and if you were doing the work yourself and just buying parts a good £1500 - £2000 would be needed if you were paying people to do the work youd probably pay silly money best bet is to either get a cheap rs turbo engine or drop a 2ltr mondeo engine in there. Giving you 130bhp as standerd and more tuning potential.

I dunno how much someone would charge to source the engine and fit it but you can pick up a mondie engine for about £150 i think do a search on the subject bound to turn up loads of stuff.

Alternatively find a mondeo that failed an mot on something like bodywork then you have everything you need to do the conversion and could probably pick it up for next to nothing.
