If you were on here 5 years ago you would know what I mean. Back then there was over 100cars on stand at fitp, and had decent stands at ford fair and trax every year. Now its a piss poor showing at fitp, and last year we didnt manage a stand for trax at all. and posts on the forum didnt used to stay on the first page for weeks

As an official of the FCGB I have a different take on the matter. The Fiesta as a rule is a young persons car and after a while move onto something bigger and faster. I would say we have 50% of our members who are long term members and 50% who do not stay longer than two years. Also, the number of dedicated number of Fiesta clubs around these days.

yeah of course, but this site was aimed at the mk3 mainly, and xrtwo at the 1 and 2. Both sites are not a patch on what they once were.

The theory is a general one, not all youngsters buy new Fiesta's even though going on UKFN and ZSOC gives that impression.

well ive found that allot of new time drivers tend to get (if a fiesta) a 1.1 mk3 or even 1.3, after a small while get bored of its slow speed, specially after the taste of something faster, they cant gereally afford an Si, XR or RS so dont find the enjoyment in speed side of things,
mk4/5 1.25's are prefered to the 1.1/1.3, and Zetec s is newer and more 'street cred' than the XR and Si models, and with newer Zs and St models, theres only really the Rs turbo that guys cling to and 2.0 zetec mk3's
