Fitting 16" alloys

Postby wildheart on Wed Jan 29, 2003 6:39 pm

My girlfriend is on about putting 16" alloys on her xr2i,its been lowered 50/60mm on ultra low spax springs and it has g-max dampers all around.

I know it would be best on 195/45/16" tyres (40's tramline too much).

What i need to know what width alloys and what offset would be best?

Where would be a good place to get the arches roled?

Do you have to remove the bodykit/arches for tis as hers are bonded on.

Oh and how much is she looking at to get the arches done?

Thanks,Kris.

195/45/16 should be fine.

The std Fez offset should be fine just make sure the rims arent more than 7" wide to be on the safe side.

Your nearest reputable car place. (sorry i dont know Derbyshire).

Yes the kit and arches will need to be removed.

£250 approx but this depends on the ppl doing the job so do expect something higher by some places.

Mine were £140 @ R-Tec, although I wasn't too pleased with the job.
