fitting a 2i rooftip spoiler

bout to fit one to my 1.3, you know, the one that comes standard on all 2i's.

Any one got any tips, do and donts, etc???

i did mine 10 mins since piss easy.
best thing not 2 do is over tighten the bolts

im thinking of fitting one to my standard 1.1 mk3.

is there a gap in it that fits around the water jet thingy on the boot?????.

did you seal it aswell??, if so what with??, can you use normal clear bathroom silicant sealer???

i put really strong glue like no more nails round all my bolts to stop water getting to them (after i de rsuted them) this forms a water proof seal round the bolts and helps stick the spoiler as i ddint want to use rivets ! i filled the holes in the edn with fibreglass stuff and painted over it :grin:

took my car to the local ford dealer and got the body shop to fit the upper and lower spoilers for me cost me £40 to do it!

That included the bolt holes being drilled and rivits and nuts for the lower spoiler bolts, bargin in my book!!
