Fitting a Cosworth Loom to a OFAC FRST

Postby StreetDragster on Wed Jul 07, 2004 8:16 pm

Has anyone carried this out??

Apparently the frst ofac loom just 'unplugs' but how true this is i don't know, how does it connect to the fuse box? I'm wanting to fit a cosworth wiring loom after my Zetec Turbo has been run in on its standard blue injectors. How do you know which cosworth plug goes where? Just wire colours on a wiring diagram??

Thanks for any advice

yes the FRST Loom just unplugs, there's an 8 pin multiplug behind the map sensor plate and the ECU also has an earth that runs to the battery...as to whether the Cosworth Loom will plug straight in behind it...I haven't the foggiest

oh there is also a multiplug that goes to the injector rail too...it's another 8 pin I think on the right of the inlet.

Nice one, thanks, so thats removing the fiesta loom taken care off, doesn't sound like too much of a problem, however fitting the cosworth loom still sounds like a grey area.
Can anyone offer any advice or tips on fitting a cosworth loom to a fiesta?
Do you need a particular cosworth loom?
Do you need any particular cosworth sensors?
What happens with the CPS, use the FRST one?

Someone must have done it before

Thanks for any and all advice

your best bet is to have a phone around some of the tuners in the ford mags, im sure they will tell you some of the info you need to know.

cheers chris
