fitting frst management

Postby ludaprix on Sat Aug 12, 2006 8:17 pm

hiya guys im seriously looking into fitting frst management to my zetec turbo which is currently running on standard management(yes i know ticking timebomb! lol)

right well my mate has told me to get hold of the following:

fiesta turbo OFAC loom, Edis4, co pot and map sensor

the turbo ive got is only a watercooled t2 running 8psi(dont wana go higher), will the frst management work well?

i dont have alot of cash left right now for the car, i just want it to be reliable

to up the fuelling ive got a fuel pressure reg (fitted), escos cosssy fuel pump (to be fitted) and skyline gts injectors (to be fitted)

is there anything else i would need to get hold off for this conversion, other than a spare engine loom for my mondeo?

im an amatuer to this management stuff so if you guys can point me in the right direction that would be great!

You'd be better off with OFAB rather than OFAC and you will need to hold some cash for having a chip mapped for your engine (£500ish)

ok i had no idea what i was on about with the stage 1 chip(i have a zetec not cvh), like i said im not quiet with it with frst management, just seeing what i'd need and how much it'll be

and as for the injectors, the skyline gts injectors are the purple top injectors which fit straight into the zetec fuel rail, just got to swap the top connectors

You need to speak to somebody that really knows Zetec Turbo's mate for some proper advise on what you are doing.

OFAC with a stage 1 (165) chip works, Ive tried and tested it for over 18 months now. As long as you use bigger than std injectors (im using 370cc), I cant see a problem, I know its mapped for a 1.6 8V but It still works, It may not be 100% spot on but ive never had any probs running 1 Bar.
