Its not worth lightening it, get a steel flywheel, or just get a light skim on the face-take too much off and it will explode.. To get the full benefits of balancing u need to do the crank and flywheel-even better if you get the rods and pistons done.. Its makes the car run smoother and rev higher without falling to pieces

Snake...........

speaking of balancing....... I had heard (oh no not the, "i have heard" thing again ) that the CVH is a quite well balanced engine due to it being a pig of an engine when it was first developed. A source  said, " the cvh was never the best running engine, so Ford had to obviously try and make it run better, that's why having your cvh engine balanced more is not worth the expense".

what do you think ??

I totally agree

Sunny.
Do you have any idea what 178.8mph feels like in a Fiesta? 2000 lb of pressure per square inch per second pushing back on your face. It feels like god himself is trying to rip the skin off your skull while someone lands a 747 on your chest.

Believe me, a full engine balance is defo worth it and makes a hell of a lot of difference!!. They shake like hell when they spin upto 6000 rpm, mine is smooth right upto 7500-8000 rpm!! then there is no more power
