Focus 300mm Brake Conversion

Postby StreetDragster on Tue Dec 30, 2003 11:28 pm

Carried this conversion out today, one of the few modifications that were a joy to do!, and cheap too.

Costs were-

£211 for the Focus ST170 calipers, bolts, and pads from Gadget off here (Thanks very much)
£125 for Focus ST170 discs from Ford
£40 for braided brake lines
£10 for brake fluid (DOT Super 4)

Dead easy to fit, remove everything, drill the hub mounting holes out to 12mm and then bolt on the new parts and bleed up! It really was that easy! Highly Recommended!

Thanks

Matt

can't tell just yet, there still bedding in so the pedal is very soft and i can't stand on them too hard, there is better pedal feel than before but that may be too do with the new fluid

Thanks

Matt

That wont really change tbh, pedal feel is always soft after putting on big calipers

But the stopping power is much better which is what counts :)
