focus rs turbo manifold
ive turbo charged my 2 litre zetec stuck it in my mk3 fiesta and im currently using the ford focus rs turbo manifold.what i would like to no is what turbos fit the manifold is there a lot of choice ,i dont really want to move the radiator about and also what exhaust down pipe would i use to suit the turbo.also what exhuast elbow would i use.i am looking to run about 180 bhp to start and work my way up in stages to around 250bhp.what grade or spec of turbo would i use i dont want to spend money on a turbo to find out it can only take so much boost .some people say gt28s or t25s ,t28s

Re: focus rs turbo manifold
if it were me personally doing this i would be inclined to use the ERST manifold with a T34 bolted to it...EASILY do the power you want and beyond (2L 16v u have right?)
however if you want to stick to the manifold you have...and standard Focus RS turbo will be fine for the job...not much lag or threshold and power all the way to 7k or so!mate of mine is doing 276hp on a standard FRS turbo! so will be fine for your application...just always remember...use the smallest item for the job...will have a much more responsive engine! (then again a T34 is a major overkill for just 250hp LOL so ill say T3 Stg 3 with a Cossie style rear exhaust housing...you will need a custom down pipe)

Re: focus rs turbo manifold
baseboy you seem quite knowledgeful.. do you know if the focus rs downpipe from the rs manifold and turbo goes strait under the older type zetec sumps.. or would i need to use the focus sump.. I think they are all shaped the same to accomodate all downpipes in the same place.. can you confirm this buddy?
flexy to the original catted si system and i have my turbo side setup nicly and good for the planet ... like i care a f**k about it..
