fooking weird

whenever i go round a right hand corner it feels like the back end is sliding, but its not. its bloody weird. its lowered 35mm (i think) on standard shocks. dont know what springs they are either. should it feel like this with that set up. ive only driven cars that have been lowered properly.

First thing to do is have a look at your tyres, make sure they are a half decent brand, the right size for the wheel and car, and make sure they are set at the correct tyre pressure. Whatever size they are, for normal road use a good rule of thumb is to stick to the manufacturers pressure.

After this, you want to start looking into the possiblities of worn shock absorbers, look for signs of leaking oil, and then for worn suspension and anti-roll bar bushes. Just a few basic starting points, good luck with getting it sorted.

cheers pez, i think the tyre pressure at the mo is (front 30psi, rear 28psi). is that too much? the tyres are in good condition and they're ive got 16".

had its MOT the other week and it had a knackered shock but thats been changed now. i might just save up and get a good spax kit then see if it happens then.

cheers, damien
