FOR SALE: Ford Fiesta RS turbo. (Fastford featured 2012)
Hi guys,
Its come to the time where i think i should let someone else enjoy my pride and joy Fiesta RS turbo, i have put ALOT of love into this car and will be VERY sad to see it go!, but its just to immaculate to use everyday and tbh i have shot myself in the foot as i have created a car i dont use in the rain, and dont want to leave anywhere incase it gets damaged so would therefore prefer something which is abit more of an allrounder.
I purchased the car from a lad called Neil down the road from me in Chippenham wiltshire and it looked a Tidy car, abit of the typical petrol cap rot and a few scabs here and there, but after i removed the bodykit i was wrong!
So for the next 8 months my mate Rich and i rebuilt it from the ground up we stripped every body panel off and replaced them with
2x Genuine Ford rear Quarter panels
2x genuine Ford front wings
2x Genuine ford sills
and a new rear panel
We also sourced a rot free bonnet as there was rust under the lip of mine where they usually go and i couldnt find a brand new one at the time.
We also replaced the inner Arches on the rear and all this was done with the thought that nothing other then perfect will do!
The car then went to RESTOMOD in Bristol to a bloke who i have become good friends with since to have the paintwork done, again telling James i will pay strong money but it MUST be right.......we agreed on a price of £2300 and he had the car 6 months but my god it was worth the wait! the paint is like glass!, no orange peel, swirl marks, s**t in the paint, its perfect, and still is.
At the sametime we stripped the underneath and all 4 wheelarches to baremetal, removing the rear axle, drums, rear beam, Koni suspension, cradle etc etc and powdercoated the lot.
We then 3m stonechipped the arches and underneath and refitted all the powdercoated parts along with brand new bottom arms, 4 new wheelbearings, rear shoes, handbrake cables, New 300mm focus ST discs and Mondeo calipers, pretty much the lot
We then decided to strip the engine out and weld all the holes in the bay up, and send it back to James at RESTOMOD so him and the lads could smooth over them and paint the bay, as usual nothing but perfection from the lads!
We then got cracking on the new engine build, was nothing to mental just simple reliable power is what i wanted so the spec we went for was:
1.8 zetec bottom end,
New Cambelt and waterpump/1.3 tensioner
Ferriday Engineering decompression plate,
Freshly rebuilt head, (which had never been skimmed and didnt need one, but we gave it a light tickle at the engineers anyway)
new valve stem oil seals, new exhaust valves, (gave the inlet valves a clean up as they were mint)
Genuine Ford Head Gasket/head bolts and a gasket set for the engine,
As new Kent cam and pulley,
Beige Injectors,
Motorsport Developments custom chip (OFAB management)
Stage 2 T3 (55trim 2wd cossie with .36 rsturbo ex housing and 360 degree bearings)
Stage 2 Airtec Front mount Intercooler/Airtec radiator
Green Airfilter
-31 Actuator
Sytec Fuel pump
MSD 82 degree thermostat
Series 2 LSD gearbox with uprated bearings
Helix Fast road clutch
Vibratechnic engine mounts
4" outward rolled scorpion exhaust system
Escort Cosworth wheels running Toyo proxie T1Rs allround
300mm ST discs, and mondeo calipers
Koni Adjustables
The car was set up earlier this year at Power Engineering and made 186bhp/196lbft at 15psi, pulls very well and can hold its own very well.
The car doesnt smoke at all, either on start up or whilst driving it, did recently have a issue but turned out to be the oil return loose and leaking onto the exhaust downpipe which was a nice easy fix in the world of RS turbos lol.
The car has done 120k on the clocks but obviously i would disregard this as everything is new, i have started the history off again in the service book from the mileage i fitted the ZVH engine on, it has 3 stamps since then being oil and filtered every 2000 miles which are stamped up.
The car has MOT till the end of April 2012 but i will happily put a fresh 12 months on,
And i have just taxed it on Friday for 6 months too.
The car had a full feature in the July issue of Fastford magazine but i would prefer to keep that as a fond memory, but if i can source a copy at the time i will happily let you have it, i also have a shoebox FULL of history, and all the graphs from the RR sessions.
The interior is in good condition, the only thing i can fault is the tiniest bit of ware on the drivers seat piping, i have glued it back so you can not see it, but id rather be honest, there is also a subtle stero system in the boot hidden beneath a false floor, i also had the newest clliford alarm fitted with proximity sensors, blackjax etc etc obviously i have banged on abit, so will get on with pics, if there is anything i have forgotten feel free to ask
All in all this car is Very very straight and no corners have been cut at all in the whole build, this car really has been my Baby, testdrives will be done by me and me only, ANY inspections welcome, cheers Adam
Price is £4995 NO OFFERS you can contact me on my mobile, probably best to text or email and i will return your call as my iphone doesnt get a signal at work 07557818531 or Adamstate@hotmail.co.uk
