It just froze for about 20-30 minutes, I don't know if all our feedback and info is being processed and acted upon though :-?

It just froze up again for ten minutes or so. This is becoming really annoying, it's happening everyday and seems to be getting more frequent.

I am very dedicated to this site, and always will be. But this is turning me away to the outside daylight because of the slow/absent loading.

just locked me out for 5 minutes again

Happens to me practically everyday.

Sometimes I'll click on submit and it'll take a good 2 to 3 minutes before the post is made or the page times out. Same when changing between forums. Other times, like now, it'll be much faster.

Dunno if the static page is ok or not... I keep forgetting to bookmark it and obviously when the forum dies I can't get to this post to check...

Whole forum pretty much died yesterday, and it's logging me out over and over.

Ade's said the server's being overloaded now, which is the issue.

Yes, well observed. Are you an IT engineer? :p Potato time!

The problem is, Ade's still paying to keep this site alive. He doesn't use it, and doesn't hold the Fiesta passion anymore, so understandably doesn't feel like forking out for a bigger, better server to keep us lot going.

no, not a it engineer, just giving my point, no need to jump on it.

from what i under stood it didnt cost adrian fock all anymore due to money he makes from advitisment on the site etc, for all i know he might make a bit, then again i could be wrong alround.

but yeah ok his lost the fiesta passion, no need to let a well known good site (and there aint many!) go to toss, why not sell it on to someone who is willing to put the time into it like he used to.
how about you mr heeman, with that post count you cant say you wouldnt wanna run the site

oh, no lumps in the mash this time please

I wasn't jumping on it, I actually thought you were joking!

A number of us have been discussing the state of the site for a couple of months now, with some input from Ade. As I said above, he's still having to pay to run the site, which, when he doesn't use it or have much interest in it anymore, is not what he wants. So he certainly doesn't feel like splashing out on a speedy new server for us all to enjoy, specially when he fairly recently moved into his own place.

It's all still being chomped over, but a few of us have been trying for a while to resolve all these issues. The problem is that Ade's busy, hard to get hold of, doesn't need to keep this place running, but is understandably reluctant to let someone else take control of this kingdom he started!
