What's the crack on bbq'ing then guys as I want to bring mine but seems it's a big no no and don't want to jepordise ft's position in the future.
I can't believe nobody is going to have a BBQ in silverstone and it's a damn site cheaper than paying for grub!!

From what I've been hearing they used to turn a blind eye to it if it was in a remote part of the show. H&S are kicking up a fuss so they're getting strict on it now so all are banned. I do expect to see one or 2 around the show though lol.hb69 :Weve had bbq's before with no aggro

Re: Ford Fair - Silverstone - 7th Aug (Tickets Posted 29/07)
Nice chap from another forum :In relation to this i have been in contact with Clair & Jenny @ Futurenet, but they state that Silverstone don't allow BBQ's ..... however in relation to where we are on the circuit we are well away from anything else and also being a Gas controlled BBQ ..... we feel we going to take a risk on this and just do one under the Gazebo.
So to be honest there isn't anyone particular that have granted permission, we are just doing one.
Not sure what to say really?
I will bring a good industrial quality tent/gazibo if nobody else has one organised?

We've got the big 3x9m FT gazebo coming if we're on grass. Personally I don't know what to decide on it, if there's loads around the show then maybe, but at the same time if there's only the odd 1 or 2 then it's a larger risk. Are actual position may help answer it but tbh I've no idea lol. I'd like one as much as everyone else but at the same time I don't want to jeopardize the stand *big shrug*

Nice. Might bring ours if the weather looks too crap to put over the car. Can keep the bonnet off then!
Seems like a bit of a gamble to be honest. If we can't use one, it's a whole lot of food wasted.
Might have to be content with a cool box full of sandwiches...

That's what I was thinking Steve. Catch 22, if we go there without it there could be loads of them. If we take one and nobody else is using one, it's a waste. You're welcome to bring your gazebo if you like, I'll try and draw it into a stand plan so it looks featured?
Either way, everyone who reads this post, if you have some outdoor camping or fishing type chairs, bring them along

Just FYI for those of you who don't have folding chairs - go to Tesco or Asda NOW. 2 chairs for a tenner, absolute bargain.

My First Time Taking The Car And Being On Stand, It Was A Really Good Day, And Glad It Did'nt Rain, Well It Did Only A Little I Believe.
Just Want To Say Well Done To Wayne For Organising And Sorting Out The Stand In That Little Amount Of Space We Had, And Also To Chris For Helping Me Find My Way Into Silverstone!
