Ford Head Unit
Hi there this is a query about a ford cd player head unit i have for my fiesta bonus 91. I bought the car with this head unit already installed, it worked fine but i wanted to fit my kenwood mp3 head unit which came from my old fiesta, so i got another iso cable pulled the old head unit out, and fitted it all, kenwood head unit worked for about 3 seconds and then just shut down, i now cannot get the kenwood head unit to work at all!! not sure what happened there! Anyways i put the old ford head unit back in and it worked so i just left that in for now while i get another head unit sorted, for some reason now though every time i start the engine the head unit forgets what stations i had preset, forgets everything as if i'd unplugged the power every time i start it! any ideas on how to fix this, it's really bugging me!!!!
Thanks,
Dave
Thanks,
Dave

Sounds like you may have blown the permanant live fuse.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

It's fuse number two in the fuse box. But there may be an additional one in the line after that fuse. Check you have voltage on the perm live wire behind the head unit first.
