Front Suspension

Problem or technical question?

Front Suspension

Postby Ruaraidh on Sat Dec 28, 2013 8:08 pm

Hi there,

I have spent the last year building my xr2i in to a stage rally car, it's now pretty much all done, and it's first even will be the Snowman Rally on the 22nd of Feb!

I just wondered if anyone on here has any experience of rallying these cars, as I am after some higher suspension for it!

I have had AVO coilovers on it, which were too low as they are intended for fast road use really so fully extended are still about 30mm lower than a standard car, and I am now running uprated shocks with mk6 fiesta van springs! (odd i know but it gets the front up a bit higher at least!)

Does anyone know of a coilover unit that will fit and will be able to extend to at least standard ride height or above?

Many thanks! :)

I had the same problem with KW V3 so I ended up buying longer springs.
