FRST Brake Upgrade. Which way to go?

Postby 16VSi on Thu Apr 01, 2004 7:11 pm

Thinking of upgrading the braking on my FRST.

What is the best way to go, as it's pretty much standard and I don't want to spend too much.

I was thinking upgraded discs (3G RS-10's) with upgraded pads (EBC Greenstuff) and standard FRST callipers.

I have been told that Escort RS callipers give you a greater braking area and are therefore the way to go. Is this true?

Don't really want to go for a 278mm or 300mm conversion, as I don't plan to increase the BHP.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

get hold of some mondeo callipers and use rs2000/xr3i 260mm discs. they all bolt straight on and will be plenty good enough.
