FRST ECU's

Well im a totaly new to all this turbo stuff and the different ecu's etc.....

I know there are two types on the FRST - OFAC and OFAB

Buts whats the differnce between them both?

Any advanatages from one to another?

Also any visual differences between them?

apparently there was also OFAA as well.... dunno though, OFAB has unrestricted boost limits and can run 3bar MAP sensors, difference is written on the little label either OFAB or OFAC

Ofab is older then ofac. ofab is easy to up the boost and you can use 2/3bar map sensors when you get te chip mapped for the right map sensors

iirc ofac was brought in on the later models to meet the legislations with reagrds emissions, its better on fuel, but will only alow up to 1bar of boost, i think it can me maped to run more but the process to do this is very involved and £££££££££!

ofab is the earlier system and can be used with the 2/3map sensors can run upwards of 20 psi boost pressure once mapped!
