FRST Engine Rebuilding Advice needed

Postby project_mistral on Sun Feb 13, 2005 8:38 pm

Currently fully rebuilding an FRST engine, and need a few questions answering.

Can i use a graphite grease to lube up the main bearings and conrod bearings or is it best to use engine assembly lubrication?

I was told to use graphite grease around the piston rings, is this true?

Is Loctite the best stuff to use around threads on things like oil gallery screws?

Will O.E piston rings from somewhere like Burton Power be good enough to handle 200 bhp and about 14psi, or is it best to find uprated ones? (using standard pistons)

Any help much appreciated
