FRST Fuel pressure

Postby dan_turner on Tue Jan 06, 2004 7:17 pm

Does anyone know what the fuel pressure should be on a standard FRST. I have been having a problem with a misfire at around 2500 rpm. ive changed all obvious things such as leads etc. but it hasnt cleared.A friend of mine had the same sort of problem on his FRST a few years back and i turned out to be the fuel pump....Any Ideas????

Fuel Pressure

Postby Mint FRST on Mon Jan 12, 2004 10:56 am

I have been told it should be 3 bar's by a Ford employee. When mine was checked it was only 2!

You can drill the cap off the regulator at the end of the fuel rail and raise the pressure by winding the allen key cap head in.

There could be other reasons why you have low pressure though i.e. clogged up/old fuel filter.

I may be wrong but thats whats been done to mine and it runs fine, others may disagree?
