CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

Postby MadcatCraig on Mon Jan 07, 2002 7:35 pm

hiya thanks for your time

firstly i need an exhaust or "Zorst" for my FRST recomendations please ! i want it to be loud but not deafening when on motorway, the usual power increase with a 4" pipe.

Secondly, oil. What oil do you guys usethe engine is on 30K and ive not much idea how it was used before so im gonna clean it out new oil.

Dump VALVE "ptssssshhhhhhh" how hard to fit and wot one should i go for on standard turbo running standard boost (for now).

Anything else anyone recomends i check or change would also be great help.

Cheers i am soon to be a FRST and not a 1.1 Man

Would have to say Bailey Piston Type Dump Valve. Be sure that you get a FRST and not a ERST one.

yeah, i hear good things about mongoose.
Got a scorpion (i think) on mine. too damn loud on the motorway
I use Castrol RS 10w60 in mine (make sure its the right one - they do a RS 0w40 as well)
and mines got a normal diaphram type dump valve. my mates got a collins twin piston on his scooby - nice but a little tinny sounding for my taste (PTTSSSSSHHHHHHHH)
although nothing beats the sound of wastegate chatter
