Thats doesnt change the engine does it?
That dont change the fact that if u want questions answered their there.
Van Aaken's kit bolts straight-on and no mods are required as it runs low boost.

FRST bore 80.0mm
1.6 Zetec 76.0mm
You can't slap on a set of CVH pistons and hope it will work you have other things to think about like the size of the little end are thay the same and the hight of the piston [ERRR] if you fit them thay might protrude out of the block.
It would be easyer if you just get some low comp pistons

yes i think it's more easy slaping a low compresion piston, but the is that my friend don't want to spend so much money on this 1.6 Zetec becouse it's piontless, so can he get the pistons to machined them and low the compretion by the same pistons of the zetec?
if yes what's the compresion ratio, should it be to run at least 10psi boost.
thanks for your help guys, you're the best.

yes NikFRST, that's what his gonna do, a decompression plate is the best i think for not spending big money, but he don't know what should be the thickness of this decompression plate.
and with this decompression plate, what's the safest boost limit to run on?

g-flash, I just read the other post asking about decompression plates, etc. Also, I didn't realise until I re-read this post that you was asking about a 1.6l. Some other ppl have already mentioned going for the 1.8 or 2litre Zetec. Then you would have much bigger power to start with. If your friend goes ahead and turbocharges his 1.6 with a decompression plate he will be lucky to acheive 140bhp without melting a piston. If he goes for the 2litre he won't have much less bhp as standard then if he turbocharges that then he can get silly power.
