FRST missfiring

Postby project_mistral on Sat Oct 08, 2005 9:24 pm

Im having a funny problem with the engine mis-firing.

Its very intermitant, some journeys the car will be fine, others the car will warm up boost around for 5-10 minutes then mis fire for the rest of the journey, other times its misfires as soon as the car warms up and i start to boost.

It only seems to do it when the car is under load, rev the engine in neutral - fine, put it in a gear and rev say above 3000rpm or even lower if i put my foot down hard and it misfires.

I rebuilt the engine 1700 miles ago, had new plugs and leads then. its been fine up until the last 3 weeks.

Has anyone else had this problem.

Im at my wits end with this now, really need to find the problem.

Any help GREATLY appreciated.

Dan
