FRST PROBLEM

here we go. got a frst, ofac managment. its got a problem with revving. when i first start it i can put my foot down and there is no problem, but as soon as i let it idle for a bit, (idle is all over the place) if im gentle with throttle it will rev. as soon as i plant my foot to the floor it splutters and cuts out.????????? tried a known working map sensor. no luck. its had new head gasket and all other gaskets. if checked for air leaks but cant find any. put some other standard blue injectors in. can any 1 help because im loosing my rag now!!!!!!!! feel like selling the bloody thing!!

ohhh yeah. also when i take cylinder 1 ht lead off the engine dont change tone, same goes with number 4 cylinder. got a spark off all the plugs thou. new plugs and lead fitted 1 month ago????

check the earths mate theres a couple in the boot as well

how many earths are there mate? does it sound like a electrical problem?

av had major probs recently as am sure mikey would tell u...1 of the faults found was bad earthing in boot somewere...

had exactly the same probs as u describe..hoping to get car picked up tomoz so will see wot guy did and gee u a reply or mikey as am just a parts guy :rolleyes:

Thanks for replys. Ive checked the earth cleaned then. No change. Put new coil pack on and it sounds alot bettter than it did. Just wondering if crank sensor is at fault?

Hi bud...doubting rear earths will be a prob for u....ma battery has been relocated to boot and main earth was shorting due to moisture starting to rust ringlet ....


Are u sure the plugs for your Map sensor and co pot have not been swapped by mistake if u no wot a mean....plug meant for map plugged into co pot and copot into map.....now this had been done by a garage so maybe more common than a thot..also my fp had been fkd with to a crazy amount wich was causing major probs
