Excursion :Very nice! You've missed off the bulkhead sound deadening, was that intentional?

All the internal sound deadening has gone back on the bulkhead as it should be..your gonna have to explain more mate ..cos i may have missed somethin and you got me worried now..

The bulkhead deadening should go from the bottom of the windscreen, right the way down to the front edge of the centre console and base of the pedals.

The upper section behind the dash usually has a grey coating, and the bottom part is bare underlay. The lower part usually gets wet and manky so is ripped off and discarded. Is that the case here?

Ah i get ya, when i was taking it apart it only had sound deadening/underlay about half way up the bulk head just under where the brake servo bolts to the bulkhead, which i have replaced...it just doesnt show in the pic as i hadnt put it in, I need to explain that this is my first ever resto and if it wasnt there when i took it out it wont be going back in as i have no frame of reference..but thanks for telling me, ill see if i can get some for there as the dash is coming out again when ive found a good one with no holes.. :D

Ok been out working on the car the past couple of days and done some more...altho today i was gonna sell it, think ive hit a bit of a low patch...i cant seem to find some of my bits, stuff wasnt going right..i even had a tantrum, it was just pi**in me right off..anyway i have managed to get the suspension in and on and fitted..see what you think

If anything its the only thing that has given me any hope of finishing it..may have a day off tomorrow and sort myself out..
I do have a question to ask..if you have fitted these before do i need to fit the rear strut top rubbers in the cups? as my poly bush ones dont fit very well?? and they already have 2 bump stops fitted to the strut bar, any thoughts..

Ive had them fitted with and without the rubbers in the cups, doesnt really make a difference as the rubber is only to keep the spring located on the middle, the coilovers have there own cups to keep it all together

Been out again yesterday and today to do a few bits, Fitted the fuel tank..the pictures make it look better than it is
Image
Fuel and brake lines in aswell, before you comment on the black underside i know its not ideal or shiney red that'll have to wait till winter
Image
and of course passes the inspection from my daughter
Image
finished the boot off
Image
and put the headlining in
Image
I also started on the repair to my fuse box, once i got it labelled up and out it doesnt look as daunting..i did find that the previous owner had bypassed the inertia switch, when i tested it it had a dodgy connection/loose wire at the plug. Probably took more efoort to bypass it than to fix it, that or just didnt know how to test it.

so all in all a quite productive 2 days might have a rest tomorrow :D

yes mate, i changed the hosing for silicone hose and fed it through in an effort to stop them draining into the inner sills, just gotta find a route for the front ones..The fuse box needs attention as some of the wiring has been chopped, and partially burnt out, i got a partial loom with a fuse box so i am just swapping over connectors i.e Fuel pump relay and just generally making it more reliable for peace of mind.

if its on the arch lip that fits against the rear quarter, remove the form tape and replace it with double sided sticky foam tape and that should sort it.
if its on the lower part of the rear quarter, is it clipping into the stainless bracket fully as they can make it bow out a bit
