Has anyone tryed to link an escort turbo mongoose downpipe to a fiesta turbo magnex system ? aparently the mongoose can slide over the magnex pipe. Has anyone actually done or seen this ?

Yes!

The Mongoose downpipe is slightly larger in diameter and sleeves over it a treat.

You need to trim about 4" off the end and maybe bend it to clear the crossmember, mine used to clunk against it.

gav - i have a full mongoose system on my t3'ed fiesta!

ML used an escort mongoose downpipe and slieved this onto the mid section then welded it! is sweet as and a perfect fit etc, the only thing they needed to do was to put a couple of washers on the lower cross brace so that it cleared it!

apparently this is the best method that they have seen and will be doing this from now on! plus it looks sweet as having one long pipe with no boxes or joins! ;)

Nope, it fits on the Magnex before then.

You literally take the Magnex T2 downpipe off and fit the shortened Escort one.

according to scc and a mate, the downpipe approx 1.5 to 2 metres long so if i cut 4ins off the end, it will mean losing the flexi joint

Something's not right there... Mine straight replaced the Magnex T2 downpipe, keeping the flexi joint.

Maybe magnex changed the exhaust design? Mine was a fair few years old.
