Fuel pressure regulator

Postby Ray finkle on Thu Jan 09, 2003 2:07 pm

I was reading on the PumaRacing website that the
1600 Efi xr2i's regulator can be adjusted with a 4mm allen key
it says its under a cap is this the silver circular cap on top (facing the bonnet)
I wanna check before i prise the wrong thing off and get drenched in fuel and hoop the car
cheers
phil :D

Yeah he reckons not to bother with rolling roads
fit all the kit u want then adjust the fuel until the engine feels at its strongest
sounds good to me as the only thing i cant do is rollling road it my self
(well i could bang it on the axle stands get the missus to put her hair dryer down the air duct and rev the funlumps off it  )

OMG!!!.....please dont, for the cost of a rolling road session it's worth it. Anyway, i think it's the same fuel pressure regulator as on the FRST and it is a 4mm allen key needed.

Have fun trying to get the cap off!!

he's right - the efi system is so simple that you only need to adjust the fuel pressure on a n/a car
