Fuel pump fuse keeps blowing!

HELP....???

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction on how to get rid of this new problem..

The car has been off the road for a long time (almost 14 years). After building a new engine then fitting it I have noticed that when I start the car it runs for around 10 - 20 seconds then stops running. When I then swith the ignition back on to try & start the car again I cant hear the fuel pump priming. When I check the fuse I notice it has blown so I then replace that fuse for a new one. I then start the car again & after 10 - 20 seconds the car cuts out. Yet again its the fuse.

Has anyone on here had a similar fault? I have checked various connections & cables but I am unable to find any fault. I have ordered a new relay as the according to the existing relay it just seems to be a standard 4 pin relay so Ive ordered a replcement. I am also thinking that there could be something wrong with the ECU as according to the cars history folder the car has a few receipts from garages reporting that the previous owners had problems with the engine keeps cutting out. There is however no mention of any fuses being replaced by the garages.

I have bypassed the inertia switch incase there might be a problem with it but the car does exactly the same thing over & over again.
Any help on this would be appreciated....

try the connectors in the fuse box then the wires behind might be melted pins and is it the correct size fuse and have u tried running it with a bigger fuse

Yep, I've checked the connections in the fuse box & the wires at the back of it. All of them seem absolutely fine. Ain't tried a larger amp fuse.
