I've found out that bad earth poinst on the car gives a really weird faults everywhere. Fuel pump priming was one of them.
Also, when I had the ecu incorrectly plugged in, everything seemed faulty but the ecu

Would it be an earth even if the car not running as it is doing it with one turn of the key

Check the nevative pole on the battery.
When working on the car for so long, ppl tend to have the negative pole loss so that they can plug it and unplug it by hand without any tool. This will loss even more the plug giving bad earth to the car.

I experience even the central locking going nuts!!!

Check it mate and see if your problem is sorted.
