Fuel Rail Squeak?
The first time, every time, I prime the fuel pump a random squeak sound comes from the rail and I've no idea what it is! Uploaded a video if anyone can help. The rest of the noise is some kids riding up and down the street on Kett-Kart things.

Re: Fuel Rail Squeak?
Sounds like some air escaping or something similar to that.

Re: Fuel Rail Squeak?
I have the same sound. Two questions...have you replaced your fuel pressure regulator? And two...have you ever replaced the membrane in the fuel pump housing?Well to be precise,I am not sure if there is one in the Fiesta,in my Escort there is one...
It is the round thingy in the fuel feed line, just arfter the fuel pump.It has a membrane inside which compensates the pulses from the pump.Trouble is that if you have it for ages, the membrane is split, and does absolutely nothing to compensate the pulses of the pump. The fuel pressure reg has a metalic diaphragm, which under circumstances it can synchronize with the pulses and make noise. This is happening to my car...no one could find why it make this noise...

Re: Fuel Rail Squeak?
Ah right. My fuel pump doesn't have that extra bit and I've not changed the FPR, not to say it isn't that though. Might swap the rail out and see

Re: Fuel Rail Squeak?
It's doing your head in,doesn't it?If you haven't replaced anything, check the bolts of the rails,as already suggested...mine doesn't do it with the factory fpr,so I thought to ask.It still does it sometimes too...

Re: Fuel Rail Squeak?
Just a question... You are suggesting this,so it can take out all the air from the system...?
