Is there any way that I can increase the level of fueling slightly without getting a rolling road tune?

My car pinks slightly when the boost builds and it is making me cringe!

I'm really strapped for cash as well at the moment and won't be able to get a RR til after christmas.

Any Ideas? Can the fueling be increased by adjusting something or is it all strictly controlled by the ECU?

Thanks guys :)

So how do I do this?

Do you think that it would be a solution to my problem, at least for a while?

Sparky,
If you are going to up the fuel pressure as a way of curing the pinking it should only be regarded as a temporary fix.
If you are going to adjust it without a guage it only needs a slight turn. IIRC half a turn i.e. 180degrees is about half a bar increase in pressure. Try a quater of a turn at a time.

My fuel pressure regulator seems to have a metal cap in the top of it. Is this where the adjustment screw is?

It looks like it might be a little tricky to get out.

If its never been touched before it will have the cap on as its to make it 'tamper proof' :)

This can be removed with either a small drill, screwdriver, centre punch etc whatever you've got really just be careful not to break anything but the cap !
