I'd be cautious of using a different amp fuse for safety reasons, probably best to just stick with 40 if that was what was originally supplioed.

Beware though if it's a blade type (like under the dashboard) it'll be Bic™ to get hold of one. I recently blew one in a similar way, tried halfords as well as all local car spares shops and could only find 30A max. Had to go to Ebay in the end.....

hi there went to the local audio shop and because im using all the amps on one wire from battery to a splitter they suggest a ANL fuse box and fuse, it was all calculated out for what i could potential use 1200 + 222 +222 = 1644w

and added all the fuses on the amp these came to 120 and he said i needed a 150amp fuse so he check witha a installer and he said the same so i purchased and it works fine no problems at all. the only problem i have is the interior light dim on and off.

how do i stop this problem?

bigger alternator mate!

150AMP fuse!!?? IMO I'd say that would be wrong. My systems main fuse uses a 25amp glass fuse and its never ever gone wrong.

And its consuming more power than 1600watt....

Mate you quoted Max Power figures which are useless, i doubt you pushing out more than 500w RMS with those Sony amps
IIRC i use about a 40A anl fuse and im running 700w RMS
Using that massive fuse could result in a fire in the engine bay if theres a power surge which is not good

that's very dangerous you should only need a 40 amp but im using a 30 amp fuse and i'm happy with that and handles loads fine. yu will do poo loads of damage if you get a surge.
