Postby ~ John Reid ~ on Mon Feb 12, 2007 9:18 pm

are fusion components any good - i got a pair of 13cm components for the rear as my old ones blew ( cheap ).

i got them from halfords at £39.99 and they came with seperate tweeters and seperate x-over boxes that looke little amps

they seem really good - has anybody got any views on fusion stuff.

my system is fusion, iam not into dance and R&B so i dont need all the top notch audiobahn stuff normally dedicated to bass.

i have the 500w 14" sub and amp with a set of sony explode 3way 6x9's

this is enough for me, it still has the a kick for the bassier song and can still be heard down the street

looks good too with it been green and black :P

llama @ Audiobahn comment. Let me assure you and this is from experience of their 700wRMS sub that it sucks áss big time and I mean big time

As for dance, you would most likely want Kickbass not sub-bass, and RnB you would want seem deep dark durty bass :Q

As for Fusion they are respected as a budget range as far as im aware. But you may want to go ported

Just my two pence

lol :P

well dont think fusion is that bugity lol i know lots of crappy makes that .well lets face it.. are crap compared to fusion lol

i believe fusion is a mid range make by name/quality. But like everything there are looooooads of makes that vary that have good and bad points.

But from my opinion, ive found its good all round quality from rock/ska etc to ... dance(tho very rare lol)

tho it all depends on how much you want to spend and if you want a full boot build for show and quality  and/or just to have the power there to crank it up lol :Q

Standard front speakers with standard tweeters ( rightr now im cutting where the old twtters where so the fusion ones will fit in ).

fusion rear speakers.

hopefully going to get some fusion front speakers aswell so it will be sounding better.

Please dont tell me you are going to buy one from Helfrauds?

Its alot cheaper and way more fun to build one yourself and its will sound better slot ported as apposed to tube ported.

no getting one from a place near me called bovingdon market there a buy there that sells audio stuff getting it for £20 - its all ready dont all ya need to do is put the sub in and connect the wires.

he does single ported boxes for 10" and 12" for £40 each and dual ported boxes in 10" and 12" for £40 each and all of them come carpeted aswell and are built to a high standard.

quite a good lad.
