hi all im george aka "the git" from the fcgb and just to let you know that we do hold a monthly pub meet in essex for anyone that may be interested in popping along
on another note about the blue water meet i was dissapointed with getting told to move from the original meet site but it didnt help matters with certain cars wheelspinning about the place which i spoke about with rseddie along with other subjects but ive been on the car scene for many years and its not the first time this had happened
i fully agree with wiseman about finding a suitable location for further meets in the future,it might be an idea that whoever speaks to the owner of the agreed location that you could do a charity collection at each meet or the promise of some free publicity if you got one of the ford mags along one night
the location where i hold the fcgb meets couldnt be any better they shut off part of the bar for us when they know that we are attending plus if i tell them that we have a magazine coming along for a feature the dont mind me coning off part of the car park and last year when we had performance ford coming to the may 11th meet the landlord said that he would get out the strimmer and cut the edges of the car park to tidy it up
plus the landlord their is fully aware that i wont put up with silly antics in the car park
and weve been there two years now

Sort what out? They're regional meets, there's no point in organising a 3 hour meet where people have to travel for 2 hours to get there. If you think you can do a better job, why don't I see a post from you organising a meet in your area?

With regional meets, FT's in particular, is that they're not really big regional gatherings, they're more like "anyone fancy coming out this weekend?" etc. If you want a meet in a certain area then someone's gonna have to step forward and sort one out rather than just wait around and wonder why everyone else is going out but not you. I'm rambling again so hopefully someone understands me

Agree totally - we have to understand that the Bluewater meet that caused this thread was a UKFN/ZSOC meet, therefore there won't have been a huge turnout of RST's. The regional meets are just social meets mainly.

does anyone know of any meets that happen in the northwest area

maybe someone could make sections in the events/events gallery section to accommadate meets from diff areas saving the time and trouble of sifting through all the post to find a local meet to them????
