can u buy the gmax shockers with out the springs though. ihave 17s on my fiesta and dont want to change the springs at the mo.

Yeah you can just buy the shocks you can get them from http://www.larkspeed.com for about £40 each.

There was a post on this in General a little while ago. The consensus amongst the informed was that they were dangerous tat. From a few experiences it's a viewpoint I strongly uphold. A Spax kit is only an extra £50 and will buy you a genuinely quality suspension kit.
Personally I would always opt for Koni adjustables biut appreciate at nearly £100 a corner theses aren't to everybodies budget

G max are absolute sh!te. Just don't do it.
Ive had a look at some and with two similar struts stood side by side one was longer by 2mm! They were complete turd and welding looked as though it had been welded by somebody aged about five.
