Recently got this fiesta for £500 was originally an xr2i but when I got it had a rst lump in it, but I already had a zetec turbo ready to bolt in. So far I've changed the wheels, brakes, suspension interior, black dash, pretty much everything as it was all bog standard xr2i stuff when I got it. What do you think?

My brother works in a bodyshop so it is soon to be getting a new rear quarter, rs bonnet, unbutchered front bumper and boot, a few dents sorted out and a full respray, also plan to get some rs rear lights and that should do it I think. Any comments welcome.
Cheers,
Matt

Re: My Fiesta ZT

Postby Matt_fez on Wed Apr 09, 2008 10:24 pm

Well I suppose I should bring you all up to speed with my car as I've done a fair bit since those last posts /\ /\ /\.

Right, before xmas I went to town on the engine and built a pretty sorted Zetec Turbo, well this is the spec of my car at present:

2.1 Zetec Turbo - 17psi
JE Pistons - 86mm 8.5:1CR with valve cut-outs
Eagle Con Rods
ARP bolts/Stud & Nut Throughout
Standard head & 130ps cams ATM (next on my shopping list - mental spec stg3 head & cams :Q )
Garret GT3076R Turbo
Tubular exhaust manifold
Custom 2wd Cosworth inlet manifold & fuel rail
Cossie Grey injectors
Cossie GrpA cone filter
KMS Self learning management on custom map
Custom uprated Series 2 gearbox with LSD
Focus RS spark plugs
AP 4 paddle clutch
Full stainless exhaust system with 4" tip
Escort Cosworth front brakes
Fiesta centre rear disc conversion
Front & Rear strut braces
Rear ARB
Polybushed all round
Pro alloy rad & intercooler
7.5" x 16" Azev 'A'
204/40 - Yokohama Parada tyres

and probably more that I have forgotten.....

Right here are some pictures of the progress and that I took last weekend when I cleaned her. Just come out of the bodyshop having some bits done, wiper & lock removed from boot, new rear 1/4, badge smoothed off bonnet, aerocatch bonnet catches fitted (with the GT30 the rad had to be moved forward so no room for bonnet catch :)). Few dings and bits of rust sorted. Comments welcome.

I have just purchased some RS accessory clusters on the bay and am after some headlight protectors then the outside will be pretty much what I am aiming for. Hoping to get to FITP and a few other shows with it this year, then do a few more bits with the handling and a stage 3 head next winter.

I have loads of pictures if you want to see anymore :D

This is my brother when he had it in for paint.
