gearbox???

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

I've got a knackered Rs turbo lump which needs a new gear box. Can i use a Diesel g/b or do i have to go and buy another Rs box ?

Or what about a 2i/3i box ? i know i'll have to change the LSD from the turbo box to the other one if its possible.

Try and stick with a RST box if you can as the 2i/3i box has different ratios.

do u know if the ratio's are higher or lower in a 2i/3i box ?

the 2i and FRST have exact same ratio's apart from 5th which is taller in a FRST.
the 3i has a shorter ratio box than the RST.

u can go for the diesel gearbox but u'll lose ur LSD (if its an escort) and u'll suffer a little on acceleration but have a higher top speed
